Speaker Controllers |
Speaker controllers
allow you to operate all the speakers on your system from the same receiver
or amplifier. Our controllers and speakers work with ALL
receivers.
We carry two types of speaker
controls: (1) multiple INWALL VOLUME CONTROLS for each room
(most versatile) (2) a SINGLE CONTROL STATION located
next to the amp/receiver (easier to
install) (some single control
stations control volumes independently, and some do
not)

MORE INFORMATION ON SPEAKER CONTROLLER
DIFFERENCES: As mentioned above, the IN-WALL VOLUME
CONTROLS are the most versatile speaker control system. They are also very
affordable since you only need to purchase as many volume controls as you have
rooms with speakers. You can use up to 12 of these volume controls, each
running 1,2,3 or 4 speakers, making a total of up to 48 speakers. The beauty
of our in-wall volume controls is that it makes it possible to run all
the speakers(up to 48) off of any regular stereo or receiver -
just one low-cost receiver. The details of how it all works is listed in the
detailed description of the control (click on the photo of the in-wall
volume control above). The down-side of the in-wall volume
control is that one must be installed in each room on the wall. If you
don't want to go this route, then you will go with a single control station
which will most likely sit on top of your stereo/receiver. This also will
work with any receiver/stereo, but with this method the controls for each room
will be at the stereo instead of in the room with the speakers. We carry
two types of these single control stations. The first is a small box which
controls up to 4 rooms or zones. This controller has 4 buttons on it, and each
one can turn on or off that room/zone. Each zone can have 1,2,3 or 4
speakers on it. With this 4-zone push-button unit, the volumes of each room/area
cannot be indenpendantly controlled-- all speakers are at the same volume as set
on the stereo. We also have a slightly larger and better single control
station with more features: The better unit can control up to 6 rooms or
zones. This controller has 6 volume-control knobs on it, and so it allows
you to control the volume of each room/area independently of the others. There
is also another great feature with this unit: Each volume control has
an A/B switch, so your system can have two different receivers/amps playing
different music. This make it possible to not only control the volume in
each area, but also to select different music in each area. If you only need one
music channel, consider wiring the second to your home theater/TV audio. This
will allow you to play the movie or TV sound in any room you wish, while leaving
the other rooms playing music.
